Nixle Community Information Service
Audrain County E-911 Joint Communications is using Nixle!
Nixle is a community information service provider built exclusively to provide secure and reliable communications. Its authenticated service connects government agencies to residents in real time, delivering information to residents of geographically targeted areas and neighborhoods. Information is available over cell phones by text message, by email, and over the web.
Nixle is simple to use and FREE (standard text message rates may apply, check with your cellular carrier). There is never any spam or advertisements.
Nixle messages will be classified into four priority levels summarized as follows:
- Alert messages are reserved for emergencies and urgent, must know information. Citizens should expect to take action immediately when an Alert is issued.
- Advisories include important, need to know information.
- Community messages are informational and non-urgent in nature.
- Traffic is traffic-specific and includes congestion, closure, and construction updates.

Questions about the service and its capabilities can be answered through Nixle's frequently asked questions found at http://www.nixle.com/citizen_faqs.html.
Should you need additional assistance, Nixle provides free support via email at support[at]nixle[dot]com.
